Tears For Fears Bring World Tour To The North

If you saw Tears For Fears at York racecourse a few years ago you will know what a great live act they are.

The band return to the North in 2022 with outdoor shows in Leeds and Scarborough. A new album, The Tipping Point - their first for 18 years will be released in February.

When asked why make The Tipping Point now, Roland Orzabal explained: “Before everything went so right with this album, everything first had to go wrong, it took years, but something happens when we put our heads together. We’ve got this balance, this push-me-pull-you thing – and it works really well.”

Curt Smith added:“If that balance doesn’t work on a Tears For Fears album, the whole thing just doesn’t work. To put it in simple terms, a Tears For Fears record and what people perceive to be the sound of Tears For Fears – is the stuff we can both agree on.”

Tracks such as Shout, Everyone Wants To Rule The World, Sowing The Seeds of Love and Mad World have become part of the rich fabric of 80’s pop.

As part of ‘The Tipping Point World Tour’ the band will be touring the UK in July 2022 with special guest Alison Moyet.

The dates in the North are:
7 July - Utilita Arena, Newcastle
9 July - Lytham Festival, Lytham
14 July - Millennium Square, Leeds
16 July - Scarborough Open Air Theatre
