Gearing Up To Val d’Isère's Cyclist-Approved Accommodation

The French Alps’ Haute Tarentaise Valley, known for its summer cycling trails, has launched a special charter of cycle-approved accommodation for two-wheel enthusiasts visiting the area.

The approved accommodation in Val d’Isère, located near the Italian border, is traditionally a winter resort and part of the Espace Killy ski area.

New ‘Cyclo Charter’ properties include locked storage for bikes, laundry services, bike repair equipment, access to Wi-Fi and healthy meals to keep athletes energised throughout their journey.
Cyclists can choose from an array of 3-star hotels that specialise in accommodating adventure seekers.

The Avancher Hotel www.avancher.com offers classic chalet style accommodation, a range of ‘hotel’ amenities along with fully equipped self-catering kitchenettes.

There is electric bike hire for those keen to make the 17km climb up the Col de l’Iseran but in need of a little assistance, with a wellness area, complete with massage treatments and a physio, for returning cyclists.
Guests can also enjoy lunch from the La Cachette, the hotel’s sunny outdoor bar area.

The Victoria Lodge Hotel victoriafriendlyhotel.com boasts a friendly atmosphere with modern chalet style rooms and ample storage space.
Mountain loving travellers can enjoy spa amenities after a day of cycling around the village centre or a few hours on the area’s trails, relaxing on the property’s outdoor terrace whilst taking in breath-taking mountain views.

Acquired by the “Friendly Hotels” group in 2021, Victoria Lodge Hotel is designed to offer a relaxed base for bike enthusiasts with a secure garage for bicycles and motorbikes.
