Leeds United will host Burnley for a Friday night under the lights at Elland Road, where the Whites will be hopeful of gaining all 3 points to secure their position as a Premier League team for another season.
The game follows Leeds’s 1-0 defeat against Chelsea on Sunday, in the FA Cup semi-final.
The Clarets managed to take all 3 points earlier in the season at their home ground of Turf Moor, after both being promoted from the Championship last season.
Despite their impressive run last season, Burnley are 1 of 2 teams to have confirmation of their relegation following a 1-0 loss against title-chasing Manchester City.
The relegation also led to the sacking of Burnley’s manager, Scott Parker.
Leeds, however, have plenty to worry about in terms of injuries within their squad.
Both Noah Okafor and Jaka Bijol will potentially not play in the game, after injuring themselves at Wembley on Sunday.
When asked in the most recent press conference, manager Daniel Farke said “I hope to have them both available, but I can’t tell you right now if it’s possible.”
Another key player, defender Gabriel Gudmundsson will miss the next two games at least after injuring his hamstring, also in the FA Cup match.
Despite these injuries, Leeds will still be consistent favours to win the match, with Burnley not winning a game in their last 9.
The game will kick off at 8pm, and be available to watch on Sky Sports.
