Today, Games organisers have announced that registration for the Westfield Health British Transplant Games has officially opened. Transplant recipients, supporters, live donors and donor families are all being encouraged to register now, to be involved in the highly anticipated 2024 Games.

The flagship event of Transplant Sport will be taking place in venues across Nottingham from 1st – 4th August 2024 thanks to support from Westfield Health and Kidney Care UK and Nottingham Hospitals Charity as well as additional local partners including Nottingham City Council, Visit Nottingham, University of Nottingham, and Nottingham Trent University.

The British Transplant Games are an inclusive event encouraging transplant recipients of all ability levels to participate. The 2024 Games will see over 24 sporting events take place across the four-day event.

Last year, 2700 athletes competed at the Coventry Games, making it one of the biggest Games to date since its inception over 40 years ago, and the Nottingham Games are anticipated to continue that trajectory and be the biggest Games yet.

Thousands of athletes and their families and friends are expected to travel to Nottingham this summer from across the UK, ready to celebrate the gift of life with the rest of the transplant community.
