Distillers at Yorkshire’s first whisky distillery have revealed details of the final bottling of their Sherry Cask Reserve series of releases.

For 2026, the seventh and final bottling in Spirit of Yorkshire’s highly regarded series marries whisky from ex-Pedro Ximénez and ex-Moscatel casks.

“Filey Bay Sherry Cask Reserve #7 is the perfect whisky to celebrate a decade of distilling Yorkshire whisky,” said Joe Clark, whisky director at Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery.

“I’ve always loved putting this release together as it’s all about finding a beautiful combination of our rarest sherry casks. This year, for the final Sherry Cask Reserve in this series, I had a clear idea of the flavours I was looking for - cherries and dark chocolate. Perfect as the leaves fall and late summer turns to deep autumn.

“It’s the perfect ‘full stop’ to what’s been a very special series since 2020 and opens us up to explore different options for an autumn special release next year.”

Filey Bay Sherry Cask Reserve #7 Special Release, 46% vol, is a Single Estate single malt whisky produced from field to bottle using 100% homegrown, regeneratively farmed barley. It is a limited edition of 2000 bottles and costs £85. It is available to pre-order now, and it will be available online at spiritofyorkshire.com, from the distillery shop and from specialist retailers nationwide from mid-October. It will also be on sale at festive food festivals and York St. Nicholas’ Christmas Market until 21st December.

Spirit of Yorkshire is a true field-to-bottle distillery and one of only a handful of distilleries worldwide that use 100% homegrown barley to produce its single malt whisky. It was named one of the top 50 spirits producers in the world by the IWSC in 2025.
